What Makes You Feel The Fear?

I was reading an article in Elle May 2010 today about the "secret dread's" of four successful writers. First was the eloquently spoken Celia Walden "The fear of adulthood": commitment, responsibility. Secondly novelist Lionel Shriver, "The fear of career failure" which proved that anybody, no matter how successful, well established, or talented at their job has uncertainty about what's next. Next was journalist Lucy Mangan "The fear of ageing", physical and nostalgic aspects, and lastly Elle's deputy editor Anna Pursglove, "The fear of wrong decisions".

As I read on and on about these talented individuals, I came to wonder about my own fears and I discovered that although I realise none of these prove relevant to my age or experiences now, I am absolutely terrified of them all. Not one of those described prospects doesn't make me want to run away and hide under my adolescent covers forever and ever and ever. But I also believe in throwing caution to the wind and whilst mildly terrifying me, this editorial also reassured me and inspired me to do anything in life that makes you happy. Because it won't last all that long, and what's the point otherwise ?

Tavik

American swimwear brand Tavik, is a high end approach to high street, fashion swimwear. I found them whilst looking at swimwear site, dreaming of summer (as you tend to do when you live in England) and I stumbled across their Spring collection about a month ago. They have since released a Summer collection which is just as amazing, but the shoot they did to showcase the Spring 2010 was just so amazing that I thought that I would share it with you instead!

They just scream luxury and the lighting and setting is absolutely gorgeous. I want to BE the first model with the long dark hair! She is absolutely amazing! She makes all these amazing prints look even more amazing! I particularly love the top two shots, the simplicity of them just portrays the high end yet let back 'California' style of the brand. The accessories make the costumes aswell - even though I realise this isn't entirely practical!

I want one - yum!

There are so many amazing photographers out there and I am only recently getting into photography properly. Obviously its always been an interest of mine and it surrounds us in everyday life, but I mean like properly getting interested and inspired! I can't wait to get taking photos and its a good job I know some gorgeous people who will be willing to help! After the shots I did previously, that I've already posted, I completely fell in love with every aspect of the shoot, the place, the styling, the light.

Anyway, I know I'm digressing but my main point here is that I have a whole new level of appreciation for photography and I am gunna get involved! Weheartit.com has definitely helped fuel this passion I feel! So inspiring images!

If anyone has any photographers that are a little different and not mainstream I would LOVE to have a look around there work!

It is safe to say that there will be a lot more photography on this blog :)
