Au Revoir

Carine Roitfeld

That voice...

A Tartan Tale...

I'm really quite in love with the new mac campaign and product packaging, it's so cute and wintry.
The image with the redhead at the top (yes that fiery obsession is still continuing) is gorgeous, she looks so fresh-faced and clean. So Scottish.
It seems that all I seem to blog about these days are things that I would love to own or items that I lust after...and I was thinking that this did seem incredibly self-absorbed, but they're oh so pretty. Ok so I'm a minor victim of consumerism. Can't a girl dream?

The weather outside is frightful...

...But in here its warm and bright as Marc Jacobs gives us a cheeky preview of his S/S '11 campaign shot by Juergen Teller. Just about enough to brighten my mood.

Mmm...

Absolutely love this shoot. The pictures are so striking and the contrast of the edgy, punk style fashion and the everyday objects that surround her is so effective.

Fur.

Little bit of a fur obsession recently (faux of course) it has to be said. Can't pull it off. Damn.
There is so much of it around, seems a bigger trend this winter than ever...managed to get away with a fur hat which I adore, but other than that dreaming of these beauts will be all I can get away with.

P.S Does Daisy Lowe ever look less than amazing ? Really.

Luxury.

Stressed.com! Trying to come up with some ideas for my article on the 'current trend of luxury' to go in my portfolio...writer's block much? Here are some images that I'm hoping will jog some inspiration into me. Perhaps just an excuse to browse weheartit.com for hours, again.
Well if I'm going to procrastinate it might as well  be relevant.

Moodboards.

As part of my portfolio for uni I have to create 4 moodboards based on the themes of, "wit", "purity", "sensuality" and "heritage". Here are the three I have created so far, although they will no doubt have changed entirely by hand in. Let me know what you think! Need some feedback...

Back. Back. Backkk.

Ok, it seems to just be one apology post after another these days, but this is because I really have been shamefully bad at posting. Very bad blogger...but it has literally been mental the past couple of months! No excuse I know, so for this I am sorryyy!

Anyway, apologies aside, I suppose I should fill  you in! So I am now officially settled into NTU and am absolutely in love with every aspect of it. The course is so good, a little intimidating I admit, but I really know it is completely my calling, which almost makes it all the more nerve-racking. I've done a number of projects so far, mostly group work which has been different but interesting. The most prevalent of which has been the group brand presentation that I recently undertook on Reiss. It really is such an amazing brand, everything about it is so carefully constructed to emphasize the ethic of the brand.

We had to design an in-store concept for the brand and an ad to go with it as part of our presentation. The idea that we developed was an in-changing room digital lookbook, where the customer could scan the barcode of the item they are trying on and it will come up with a list of suggestions of items to match the product. It would then send a call out to the till for a retail assistant to retrieve it for you. This is what we designed it to look like.

So that was a very brief catch up as to what I've been doing so far this term, and I now promise to blog once every other day at least, because I have missed it!

I'm backkkk

Ok. So I've pretty much officially been the worst blogger EVER this summer. For this I apologise. I've just been craazy busy doing goodness knows what! But now LFW is upon us and I am getting very excited and inspired. Plus I start uni on Saturday and am muchas excitedas to start! Can NOT wait. Plus my course is looking verrrry appealing right now, can't wait to get stuck in!

Anyway as a welcome back I've decided to post about some ridiculously cool jeans. I'm not a jeans person as it goes, I mean I own about 7 pairs but I've sort of gone through a fad and it hasn't occurred for about a year. Now I'm rambling. But my point is, its unusual for me to get  excited about jeans. But these. Oh my. They are beauts. Spotted them on Topshop's LFW article online and just fell in love!

So be amazed!

P.S sorry about the crappy print screen but topshop doesn't let me save images :( Damn.

The Road to Eldolorado

I really love this simplistic quality of these photos, the haze that is create by the sun looks really organic and   creates a really warm atmosphere. Not too hot on that lipstick though, but I love her eyebrows! Bit weird? Yeh probably :)

Morning Beauty

Bonjourrr, I am sorry I haven't posted in ages, and before that ages ago aswell, since college ended life has been pretty manic, but in a good way! Making sure its jam packed of amazingness before we all depart for uni in September! :(
I was browsing Fashion Gone Rogue and found this awesome editorial for Morning Beauty, it's just so glamourous but in a really understated way. The contrasting nude and black tones just reap sex appeal too. Enjoyyy.

First Look.

I am a massive fan of Chanel Iman, purely because I think she is so beautiful and isn't afraid to smile in a photo! Serious is such the way of the look in so many fashion editorials and her gorgeous grin is such a breath of fresh air at times!

The first image in particular is my favourite, the lilac is so raw against the softer green background, unusual because as a pastel it would usually be considered as the softer tone. Again, her gorgeous smile draws me to that one I think.

Pictures Finally!

At long last I have some pictures ready for viewing :) Some are edited but the night time photos are not, they came out really well, the blur that the lights create actually gave a really interesting effect. Anyway some are pretty standard holiday snaps but I had to share with you! The architecture was divine. Gaudi you genius you.
