Karl does Karl

As usual, Karl Lagerfeld has stolen my heart with his latest RTW collection for Chanel autum/winter 2011/2012. The androgynous ethic of the garments is manish yet glamorous and was reflected in the 'end of the world' theme of the set. Creative directors stepped it up from the previous a/w show which saw gigantic icebergs and an inch of water down the catwalk, by incorporating a planked bridge, lava stone and dry ice/ smoke effect to create a the atmosphere of a mystical, abandoned forest, similar to the forests of Northern Europe where Lagerfeld spent his childhood.
The masculine nature of the garments and stance of the models at the end of the runway very much portray the way Lagerfeld holds and dresses himself and so I feel as though his personal taste was very much influential within his latest collection.
A few of my favourites.
Freja's hair is gorgeously Parisian.

Still going on with the red colour pop trend for a/w it looks like...
